No reliable basis was found to present RainBet as legal in India. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 and the 2026 Rules have been in force since 1 May 2026 and prohibit online money games. RainBet's casino and sportsbook involve staking value for possible winnings, while its Anjouan licence is not Indian authorization.

The central Act and implementing Rules came into force nationwide. The framework prohibits offering online money games, their advertising and payment facilitation. That makes older summaries focused only on each state's distinction between skill and chance an incomplete starting point for a current RainBet review.
